I would like to thank my lovely "Thursday Girls" for the Christmas gift that they have carefully stitched for me. I love it!! now I just need to kick one of the children out of their rooms so I can have a sewing room. Thanks again.

Hello...2 posts in 2 days!!!

Im pretty excited!!! I have had a really good day today. Firstly this morning I won a $200 voucher at my gym (for being a champion). Then some of the new "love" range from Amy Butler came into the shop. These large loud prints are great, get in quick as these are being used for lots of dress making and ladies require larger amounts for these. Then to top things off for me I am going with 7 friends to see a band tonight. All in all a good day/night! Yes I forgot to charge the camera batteries last night....oops. I hope everyone has a great weekend full of sewing! Nat.

Little patchwork village.

Sewing, sewing, sewing. I have been finishing off lots of ufo's this week. This is Rosalie Quinlan's pattern called "Little Patchwork Village". I changed the border to a busy floral print. Thanks again Rosalie. I have also made the annual Christmas stockings for my children. I went to take a photo & had flat batteries so I will take a pic tonight and pop it on tomorrow. If you don't know what Im talking about, I like to make my kids a new stocking every year, then when they leave home they can take them all and remember thier childhood Christmas with me. Georgia is a lot more excited about this than Mitch but thats a girl thing I guess.

The free pattern for Georgia's birthday bag is still available in the store, I have had to print off more & more copies. Its been so popular. Ladies have been sharing their take on my design including a denim version for a little boy to carry his cars in, bags filled with chocolates for school teacher gifts and of sourse a starter sewing basket for a young girl. My little girl is turning 9.

This Saturday is the Georgia's 9th birthday, remember her being only 4 when I started here?? As usual I like to make a gift for her. This year its a little handbag. Red spot is her favourite fabric so the choice was easy. I will put her pressie inside and hope she enjoys this new addition to her extensive collection.

What else have I been doing???  Well on Sunday I went to my favorite beach on Phillip Island for some R & R. Whilst there I though up at least 4 new designs. Now I just need to get them out of my head & onto fabric. The beach is such a lovely place. It always inspires me!

Well the time has come!!! January is my 5 year mark here at the store, ( hard to believe 5 years I know) & with that comes the time to move on & handover the reins.
